Dane graduated from Nottingham University in 2009 and began a nearly 15-year career at Lloydspharmacy, where he held various positions, including pharmacist, pharmacist manager, area manager, and Professional Support Manager. He also gained experience at Boots before becoming Director of Operations at RB Healthcare Ltd, where he also continues to practice as a pharmacist on the coalface.

Currently, Dane is completing a Clinical Diploma at Liverpool John Moores University, which includes obtaining his independent prescribing qualification.

Since 2016, he has been a committee member of CPCW, representing both the CCA and the IPA, and has served as vice-chair and chair. Dane also has previous experience with Liverpool LPC, where he served as treasurer.

Stuart was raised in independent pharmacy. His parents own two pharmacies on the Wirral, where he capped bottles, topped up bags and stocked shelves throughout his younger years. After finishing a degree in Psychology at Liverpool University, Stuart went on to Pharmacy at Liverpool John Moore’s 2003-2007 and progressed to his pre-reg year in Neston to work for J Cubbin & Sons. He stayed with the company, starting as a 2nd pharmacist at the Neston High Street branch. He then went on to manage the Heswall branch, the Neston High Street branch and the Little Neston Deeside Pharmacy. In 2012 he became Superintendent and remained so until 2015 when he left Cubbin’s.

Stuart can now be found at Treetops Pharmacy in Eastham, the family business he left many years ago. He has joined as a Director and superintendent, but still finds himself occasionally stocking the bags and stocking shelves.

Ian Cubbin qualified from the Sunderland School of Pharmacy 1980 after which he joined the family firm before going on to read his doctorate jointly at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the University of Sunderland. He has been a teacher practitioner at Liverpool John Moores University for over twenty years and is currently Managing Director of James Cubbin & Sons, operating five pharmacies in the Wirral.

As well as being an National Pharmacy Association (NPA) Representative on Community Pharmacy England, Ian is a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, a member of the Board of Assessors for the General Pharmaceutical Council and a member of the Board of management of the NPA. He chairs the Health Education Foundation which is a grant making charity which promotes the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge.

Sam graduated from LJMU University in 2012 and moved in to a career with a small independent chain before joining Rowlands Pharmacy, just over 8 years ago. Sam has undertaken different roles at Rowlands Pharmacy including Pharmacist, Pharmacist Manager and Regional Manager across different areas including Liverpool , Portsmouth and Wales. Whilst in Wales , Sam was able to gain some useful experience via CPW which will support him within his new role with the CPCW.

Paul grew up on The Wirral before graduating from the University of Bradford in 1991. Initially he remained in Bradford and worked for several years as a locum which enabled him to have the flexibility to spend a considerable amount of time backpacking. He moved to South Manchester and worked in high-tech homecare formulating parenteral nutrition and intravenous antibiotics for Clinovia Ltd. He returned to community pharmacy and started working for the Co-operative Pharmacy (who became Well Pharmacy) 19 years ago, initially managingd pharmacies in Wythenshawe before moving to more challenging branches in Manchester and then Salford. During this time, he undertook a secondment role as Regional Manager.

He relocated to Cheshire and for the last 5 years has worked in the Pharmacy Superintendent’s Team for Well Pharmacy. For the first 4 years I was a Patient Safety and Experience Pharmacist covering a diverse region including Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and South West England. In September 2020, he became the NHS Contract Business Partner for England. In addition, he spends one day a week working as a pharmacist, in Well pharmacies, generally in the Warrington and Cheshire area.

Dave studied Pharmacy at Sunderland Uni before moving on to do his pre-registration with Safeway in 1996. He managed their Nantwich branch for 5 years before transferring into Boots in Chester, into North Wales and then back into Morrisons Nantwich for a further 9 years.

In between management, he’s had a number of years being a locum for most companies across the North West. He has also been a cluster manager and a pre-reg tutor and is currently the Pharmacy Area Manager for Morrisons North and Central Area.

Jack graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2015 and completed his pre-registration year with an independent pharmacy based in Warrington. He continued to work for the company until becoming a contractor with his wife at the beginning of 2021. He is now a director and the superintendent of Rydale Pharmacy in Crewe.

Alongside working in community pharmacy, Jack also has experience of general practice. In 2019-20, he worked as a practice pharmacist for SSP Health across several sites in the North West.

Andrew qualified in 1983 after a pre-reg working for Boots in Essex.  After a brief spell as a relief pharmacist he worked in hospital and industrial pharmacy before returning to community management  in 1987.  Andrew relocated to Cheshire in 1989 and became a contractor shortly after  in Macclesfield where his company now run three pharmacies. He has been an LPC member since the mid 1990s.

Wesley is a CCA representative and Chair of the Services Sub Committee for Community Pharmacy Cheshire & Wirral. In addition to his roles at the CPCW, Wesley is Head of Health Research & Outcomes at Boots UK and is also active in other LPC footprints across the NHS North West Region.

Since qualification in 2002 he has gained a wealth of experience working in a variety of different roles that have focussed on areas such as research and health outcomes, healthcare public affairs, community pharmacy and hospital outpatient service development, professional learning and development along with leadership and management roles.

Wesley’s special areas of interest include community pharmacy practice and big data research, service development and contracting mechanisms. His passion centres around working with contractors, the NHS and wider stakeholders to enhance the opportunities for community pharmacy to improve patient outcomes and reduce health inequalities.

Stephen qualified in 1995 and, after completing a number of roles with Boots, spent 2 years with Voluntary Services Overseas as Principal Pharmacist in Vanuatu (South Pacific). Returning to the UK in 2001 he spent 2 years working for P Williams Chemists Ltd before moving to Rowlands Pharmacy in 2003. At Rowlands, he’s held a number of roles regarding professional standards, contractual matters and external relations. Stephen’s current role as Superintendent Pharmacist consolidates this experience. Stephen is a director of the CCA and CCA nominee member of Community Pharmacy England, is a board member of Community Pharmacy Wales, a nominated member of the Welsh Pharmaceutical Committee and sits on numerous other national working groups in England and Wales. He’s been a member of Community Pharmacy England (and its forerunners) since 2004.
